Woodland at Havenwood |
I tucked this toad lily near the stone wall garden in the woodland just last week and it is blooming pretty with the woodland asters that we inherited with the property.
Tricyrtis formosana "Gilt Edge" was a purchase from the spring plant sale at Stan Hywet... see some beautiful stands of it in their Great Garden! |
Thanks for all of your support along the way!
Happy September,
~Julie
What a very pretty little lily. It's not one I've heard of before so I shall have to investigate it further.

That's a beauty, and your photos are great, Julie! I love Trycyrtis plants. I don't have any now, but I've enjoyed them in the garden in the past. It's great to discover beautiful plants that will bloom in the shade ... and in the autumn. Beautiful captures. Happy autumn!
ReplyDeleteThere really are more than people think there are... anemones being one of my favorites. We have lots of those blooming over at Gilmore this week!

A lovely addition to your new garden, I'm sure it will do well with you in your woodland garden.
ReplyDeleteI am hoping it does better here than at Gilmore gardens where it did not enjoy competing for resources so much. It has a bit more space over here :)

Beautiful toad lily. I bet you've been super busy. Can't wait to see your progress. It's been really rainy here in Chicago and I haven't had much opportunity to weed/play, but did catch up on quite a bit of weeding this past weekend!
ReplyDeleteI look forward to seeing your progress...I have not seen this flower yet but I am sure it will be blooming soon.
