Catmint, Nepeta 'Walker's Low', and Geranium 'Orion' beside the road in the Curb strip this month. |
Welcome to my little garden in Pennsylvania!
June is here, and we are enjoying it both at our new garden, Havenwood, and at our old garden, Gilmore Gardens. Here are some pretty shots from Gilmore just after the rain last evening...
The Driveway garden with the relentless umbellifer flowers of bishop's weed, Aegopodium podagraria. |
A little visitor munching on the lawn clover as I came up the walk... |
On a sad note, this is all that is left (at the moment) of our beautiful old rose. It took quite a beating during the winter, but I am sure it will rebound by next year. Clematis 'Etoile Violette' still looks lovely threaded through this light pink rose. |
Looking down the Shade Path garden... |
Yellow foxgloves, Digitalis grandiflora, making their first appearance this year. They often rebloom in September. |
Clematis 'Fairy Dust' on a trellis by the Circle Lawn. |
Looking down to the Curb garden... |
And back to the gate in the Shade Path... |
This is the view from the front sidewalk, where neighbors walk by. |
The variegated loosestrife, Lysimachia punctata 'Alexander' is blooming yellow right now, white the yellow peonies just finishes. |
Purple catmint and pink spirea anchor the Front Walk this month. |
Seed head of Allium 'Purple Sensation'. |
View down the west sidewalk. |
Not too bad a view from the stop sign, huh? :) |
Catmint, Nepeta 'Walker's Low', and Geranium 'Orion' fill the curb, along with Sedum 'Acre'. |
Cypress spurge (Euphorbia cyparissias) also in the curb planting. |
Variegated Solomon's Seal, (Polygonatum odoratum 'Variegatum') in the Shade Garden. |
Happy June! |
I hope this post finds you well & enjoying your own gardens this month!
We have been hard at work over at Havenwood. I look forward to showing you some photos of our new hedges very soon.
