Fun in the leaves |
So, have you jump in the leaves yet this fall? I hope so! If not, perhaps you might live vicariously for a moment?

maple leaves falling all about the still-green Rudbeckia and vetch leaves... |
We had our first snow Oct 24th, though it melted within hours; our first frost yesterday, though everything is still standing. But for now, we are treasuring up the last few nice October days in Pennsylvania!

Jumping and having fun, that's what leaves are for. I loved the way they used to crunch underfoot when I was a child and relished kicking them up in the air to see them fall again!
ReplyDeleteThey do have quite a crunch :)

You're right : time DOES fly ! They still look like little angels and your photos make me smile in front of my screen.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing those precious moments with us, Julie !
Thank you, Isabelle! They are precious, and I know I will always treasure these days with them. Thank you for your sweet comment!

Images like this takes us all right back to childhood I think. I miss having young kids around. Your kids are beautiful Julie.
ReplyDeleteI was walking along the river bank earlier today, happily kicking my wellie boots through the piles of fallen leaves.
That sounds like a nice day! Dry weather is nice for enjoying that crunch. We are to have more snow on Sunday, but we were soaking up the sun again today. :)

Julie, You have beautiful children -- and they are growing -- these are the precious years! Your picture makes me want to go outside and jump in the leaves. P. x
ReplyDeleteThanks Pam! I hope that you feel up to jumping in the leaves very soon :)

Wow snow already Julie. None here yet and our only frost/freeze in October was on the 29th. Killed all the blooms. Love your workers...they are cuter than ever :)
