Hyacinth and Daffodil Combination

Hyacinthus orientalis 'Aiolos' and Narcissus 'Jenny' combine here with some new blue foliage of ornamental grass Festuca 'Elijah Blue'.

Here is a pretty combination from our Driveway Garden this spring. Hyacinthus orientalis 'Aiolos' and Narcissus 'Jenny' combine to echo each others coloring, cream and yellow. This combo is even better with some blue foliage from Festuca 'Elijah Blue'.

    1. Yes! I planted them right by the sidewalk from our driveway to my back door so that I could sniff their scent on the air when coming and going. :)

    1. Thanks Pauline! It really is at the moment. Soon there will be tulip carnage all about, but we must enjoy it all, right??

  3. Lovely Julie...I have lots of hyacinths in the garden so I can be bombarded with their perfume. I love the smell of the flower as the wind blows.

    1. The scent of hyacinths is one of the wonderful things worth waiting for each spring, Donna. And we payed well in the waiting this year!

    1. It is very close to pure white... very close. But it looks quite creamy compared to the truly white Narcissus 'Thalia' that are also blooming right now. I do not think I would put them together for that reason!
