The Best of Wife, Mother, Gardener

The Front Walk Garden with Allium aflatunense 'Purple Sensation' with Tulipa 'Cum Laude' in May 2011
I am pleased, and a bit surprised, to announce that this is my 300th post on WMG!

Over the past two years, my blog has recorded what was blooming every month in our town garden, our garden maintenance, our garden's succession planting, visits to other excellent gardens (including a fellow-blogger's garden!) and scenes of our children in every season growing up surrounded by nature. It all began from my husband's encouragement to document some of our favorite plant combinations from the 2010 growing season.

Here is just a sampling of my favorite photographs of our gardens with links to popular posts from the past two years. Hope you enjoy them again - or for the first time!

The Front Walk with Dahlia 'Heat Wave' with Canna 'King Humbert' with pink Japanese Anemones in September 2011.
The Driveway Garden in June! Old pink roses and Clematis 'Etoile Violette'.
The Driveway Garden in October... Aster 'Peter III' & mum Dendranthema 'Sheffield Pink'
Clematis 'Nelly Moser' on a trellis by the Circle Lawn.
The Hill Garden in June 2012... Rosa 'The Fairy' blooming freely!
Cherry Corner Garden in March 2012

The Shade Path Garden in April 2012

Thanks for your part in making this blog a joy to write!
I have been so blessed by your visits and encouraging comments.
I am excited to start another year!

  8. Congratulations on your 300th post. That is great. Of course, we are the ones that benefit. Your photographs are beautiful. As I sit here in Michigan with the snow falling and the temperature dropping, it is a breath of fresh air to see your garden photos. All I can say is "WOW!".
