Here is a new little Windflower this year,
Anemone multifida 'Annabella Deep Pink' ('Rubra'). She is blooming amongst the dying Crocus foliage from
our early spring carpet in this garden, and mulched with leaf litter. A Christmas ferns (
Polystichum acrostichoides) stands behind her. She is a bright gem to add to the front of a woodland garden. And her foliage is divided and therefore looks more like a tropical Anemone.

| This pink windflower has just a few blooms this year. Hopefully she will survive being rolled over by tray balls enough to grow bigger next year! A real beauty! |

ReplyDeleteThankyou Wendy - I've just realised what the plant is that I've been admiring through my kitchen window. I had totally forgotten until I read this that my neighbour had given me a seedling from her plant and it's now in flower..........though mine is a pale whitish blue and a bit washed out compared to it's parent. I'm sure yours will thrive there and detract from the dying leaves.
