Spring at Filoli in Woodside, CA

While watching more snow fall last week, I was pleased beyond words to find a wonderful post by Masha at A Rose is a Rose... about the spring show at Filoli, the beautiful estate garden in Woodside, California, near to San Francisco.  Here are just two of Masha's beautiful images...

"Recognized as one of the finest remaining country estates of the early 20th century, Filoli welcomes the public to this remarkable 654-acre property, including the 36,000 square foot Georgian country house and spectacular 16-acre English Renaissance garden."     ~ Description taken from www.filoli.org/

This combination of purple, pink and white tulips at the front entrance is my favorite!  Lovely spring picture. For more, visit Masha's beautiful blog here.

I have heard great things about this garden in the past (lauded by C. Lloyd,  B. Chatto, etc.), but this is the post that will make me add it to my "must visit" list.

Thank you for sharing spring with us snow bunnies, Masha!

PS ~ Check back in next week for a post on the best spring show in the left half of PA... Phipps         Conservatory in Pittsburgh, PA.  I will be drinking in the wonderful fragrance in just a few days.
